Some tips on tuning to Malaysia channels
1.) Do not use any of the government antenna ports (either rooftop or the SCV port). Strictly use your own antenna only. Do not even plug any cable to the SCV port. My Dad just found out that the mere action of plugging a cable to the SCV port induces a "jumpy" image from Malaysia channel RTM2. God knows why this happen or is there any conspiracy behind it.
2.) Use a loop type (oval or rounded rectangle type) antenna or many legged type (mini version of the roof top HDB antenna). Using the dish type is useless most of the time. I managed to get 4 Malaysia channels with those two types of antenna described.
3.) The sweet spot to place your antenna is definitely near the windows. With luck, you can even get Indonesian channel RCTI? but I never bother to watch it.
Good Luck!
