Here's a homemade soup recipe for relieving heatiness, best for the Singapore weather.
Ingredients: Dried vegetables (Cai Gan) about 1/2 packet
Chicken bones 1 packet (300 grams)
Pork ribs 1 packet (300 grams)
Red dates (100 grams)
Dried oysters (100 grams)
1.) Rinse all ingredients with tap water
2.) Soak the chicken bones and pork ribs with hot/boiling water to get rid of excess fats
3.) Soak the dried vegetables with hot/boiling water to soften it in order to get rid of sand and other particles
4.) Cut the dried vegetables into shorter pieces, throw away the "head" of the vegetable and place them with the rest of the ingredients into a pot
5.) Add about 4-5 litres of water into pot and cover with lid. Bring the water to boil and simmer to cook for another 2-3 hours.
6.) Check occasionally to add water if necessary. (If you are using electric slow cooker then this is not necessary)
7.) Add about 2 teaspoon of salt and a tablespoon of soya sauce before serving
