Looking back, we've left out secondary school for four years going five le... how old~~~ sniff...
Just went back to my old secondary school on Sat for the carnival that the school is hosting... some kinda fund raising for the needy students of the school and the help to being in some new things into the school...
Oh to those who didn't get the chance to go back, here some news that you might be interested in.. heard that the school would be rebuilt in year 2006-7. The old building will be pulled down and a new one built at the exact location. Sigh... kinda miss the times we had while we were there.. though it is a good idea to rebuilt the school...but the thought of not seeing the old school building standing where it is today can't help but brings a tiny bit of sadness into me... how i'll miss the old classrooms and the old haunted school toilets.. the night walk we had around the classroom block... the muddy and sloppy field... ...
So if you're free... feel free to drop by for a visit... oh and a little commercial... the school will be organising the Mid-Autum Festival Celebration.. details will be up later when everything is being confirmed... hee....
Here are some photos taken while we were at the canival... have fun hee..
Here's the school with all the deco up...
Something new being added to the classroom block... haha... not very used to using words like block A, B etc.. still perfer the old terms like... classroom block etc... add a sense of belonging to the school.. something unique.. just like the term "Class Parent" instead of "Form Teacher"....
Here's the dunking booth... dunking miss fu wan yue... not sure if it's the correct spelling hee... winner of the best chinese teacher award recently... the third chinese teacher to win this award in the school hee.. the first one was mdm ang while the second was mr tan

Dear Sir/Madam,
Re: Job as a full-time CEO of National Kidney Foundation
I would like to apply for the job of a full-time CEO of National Kidney Foundation in Kim Keat road as I understand that the previous CEO T.T. Durai have tender his resignation lately.
I am an avid fan of all NKF charity shows and actively participate in donation drives during CIP my Secondary school days so I have a deep understanding and experience in fund raising for NKF. I am also a regular supporter of NKF, calling the donation line during your 1 2 3 many charity shows a year, especially when Zoe Tay did the dice trick.
I am a simple person and won't mind working for peanuts, in fact I can settle with either pea or nut and an annual bonus of 6 months. As for the flying perks, I am willing to fly in SIA business class as I see that other airlines are not as safe as SIA thus it is not worth the risk to upgrade to First Class tickets of another airline.
My friends always insult me and called me thick-skinned, an attribute that you can surely observe from this letter. Therefore I can take negative criticism positively and would not sue anyone for slandering. You will also be glad to know that I drive a Korean car and it is much cheaper to maintain compared to a Mercedes, and that I am not involved in any other business that may cause a conflict of interest of NKF.
I would welcome the opportunity to discuss the job vacancy with you on the telephone or at an interview. I can be contacted most easily on my mobile telephone or by e-mail (see details at the top of this letter).
P.S. My father works in the renovation line and no one will find out how many golden taps we install in our toilets.
Yours faithfully,
Tan Ah Kow

Hee..
Just came home from shopping at orchard with my sis hee... and met this funny sales person at Far East. hee..
Went to Far East in search for a shirt that is suitable to be worn for work... something rather formal... Oh.. in case you're wondering if the shirt is for me... the answer is nope, it's not for me but for... hee...
Anyway we went into this nice shop and as we were looking through some pretty ok shirt when a male sales assistant came up to us and goes...
Male sales assistant (sp) : "Hey are you na na? you sure you're not na na?"
(In this case, he's talking to my sis... who... I have to agree... look like the kid who acted as na na in one of the drama series of Mediacorps... nod nod... )
My Sis (s) : No lah... I'm not her.
sp : you sure? you really looks like her you know... oh what are you all looking for? gifts for boyfriends?
Me (m) : hm... we're just looking around..
s : ya.. just looking
As we were choosing the shirt.. that sp kept on going... 娜娜姐.. (to my sis) 娜娜姐... hee... it
s kinda funny and embarrassing cause he was talking in a loud voice hence we have other customers starring at us... plus... think it caused the face of the female sales assistant to turn super black... =p
Finally decided on what we wanted... we went to the cashier and the next thing you know.. my sis was trying to bargain for a lower price... something like...
s : don't count the ninty cent can?
sp : (looking at the super black face female sp) can?
female sales assistant : cannot... you'll get a scolding if you do that... (to the sp) oh and how would you like to pay for the shirt? (to me)
m : Nets.
female sales assistant : our nets is down...
s : (to the male sp) if we pay by cash then you don't count the ninty cents? ok?
sp : ok lah ok lah...
Hee... so we paid for the shirt via cash and got a smalll discount on the shirt. Though it was only a small discount and not really necessary, but we had fun and it was pretty amusing to go shopping with my sis... haha... well for one... i can get discount if i happen to walk into a shop where the sales assistant kinda fancy her plus... she know where all the good and cheap food are...
Cool experience hee... and pretty fun too hee... (",)
Almost one year have passed since I started to drive regularly (and hence visit petrol station regularly too). Back then, the cost of petrol, before discount, is roughly S$1.50 per litre (for Syn 8000 in ESSO) but barely a year later, now it's almost S$1.70 per litre. That's over 13% increase ina year. If this trend continues, we might hit S$2.00 per litre by the end of next year. The graph you see above is based on my records from petrol top-ups. The blue part refers to before discount and pink one after discount.
Thankfully, the actual price of petrol after discount did not increase much as the discount wars between the petrol stations got uglier and uglier to the benefit of us consumers. But once the stations call truce, we can expect to be paying for all the price hike over the year. Well, at least I manage to benefit from the 25% discount recently.
