Botanical Outing with the A700

Right after this outing, school reopened and my blog was all about photos from the orientation, for one whole month. Now that it is over, time to share some pics that me and sucre took at the start of the new year. All images taken hand held. 3 cameras, 4 hands.

The difference between fast and slow shutter... all handheld.

This is a shot without DRO

The same shot with DRO

Notice how the A700 lifts out the shadows but left the highlights intact? Much more useful than the basic DRO functions from my A100. No more messy layers and masks to do the same thing in Photoshop.

Now for some Physics and Biology macro shots.

Now you know how some leaves can 处污泥而不染. Because they are afraid of water so naturally won't get stained easily... haha...

Final shot, dragonfly!

Excellent photos! Especially the close up shot of the water droplet and the dragonfly!

Just wondering, did u place the camera like 3 mm away from the dragonfly to take the close up shot? Ok, I'm being stupid now. haha.

if i put my camera 3 mm from your face you will run away too right?

It's taken about 33 cm away with a close-up filter and a telephoto lens
