I'll take the chance to share something that I learned recently and sort of did my own interpretation here. This is my expectation for all my student.
First you must know, without knowledge, your future will not be on a firm and solid foundation
Next you must think, be able to make use of your knowledge for the better of the future.
Eventually you must lead, otherwise, you will become armchair critics who do not know how to act on your thinking based on your knowledge.
Most important of all, character. With great power comes great responsibility, so you need to use your abilities for the better of mankind and not for evil.
The impact you can have in the future is determined by the area of the triangle which depends on the relative lengths of "Know", "Think" and "Lead". Lacking in any one dimension will give a small area. And the strength of your character will determine the colour of the triangle. Is it white for purity? Red for passion? Or a dark and gloomy black?
"Know", "Think", "Lead". They are meaningless without character.
修身,齐家,治国,平天下
Let's start with ourselves.
Ohmigod!!! He published a paper by himself while teaching in RJC!!! He should have gone to Berkerley earlier...
Can feel it on the road to NUS, can feel it from the canteen.. its all so over-crowded.
1 more module to clear, 1 thesis to complete and I'm done... for a while at least...
Wonder when will I bump into my ex-students in NUS Science... anyone ended up in Science Faculty in the 1st place...

Windows 7 didn't solve the BSOD problem, but cooling the computer works to some extent. Could it be the hot weather in the past weeks have to do with the BSOD? Cooler Master with so many fans not good enough?
Running Windows 7 now... hope it solves my problem once and for all, but next will come the problem when I need to pay for it and all the upgrade software.. shouldn't surf too much net since my antivirus is not up yet...
